National Youth Agripreneur Empowerment Program (NYAEP)

🔎 Overview

The National Youth Agripreneur Empowerment Program (NYAEP) was a flagship initiative by Empyrean Cultures Ltd., designed to address the twin challenges of youth unemployment and low youth participation in agriculture. The program focused on empowering young Nigerians with hands-on agribusiness skills, mentorship, and startup support—turning them into the next generation of agricultural innovators.

🎯 Objectives
  • Equip youth with modern, climate-smart farming techniques.

  • Promote agriculture as a viable and attractive career path.

  • Encourage youth-led agribusiness startups in crop production, aquaculture, and waste recycling.

  • Drive inclusive rural development and support national food security goals.

🛠️ Implementation Approach

The NYAEP adopted a 6-month hybrid model, blending theoretical training, on-site fieldwork, and business mentorship. Participants engaged with real agricultural operations across key Empyrean Cultures Ltd. project sites.

Key Components:
  • Agripreneurship Training: Classroom and field-based instruction in crop farming, livestock, aquaculture, and agritech.

  • On-Site Experience: Participants rotated across:

    • Our 80-hectare maize and vegetable plantation

    • Tilapia and catfish aquaculture clusters

    • Organic fertilizer & waste recycling facility

  • Startup Support: Top 20 graduates received agribusiness starter kits and ongoing mentorship.
